Match Day Procedures

Teams should arrive at the venue 15 minutes prior to their game time.  Weekly fees need to be paid to the venues service desk prior to your game at which point you will pick up a payment confirmation card which you give to the umpire before your match can commence.  Please ensure your team is ready to play as soon as the game before you is completed as teams that are late will be penalised and will forfeit the game if they are more than 10 minutes late.

Bags should not be left around the edge of the court as it is dangerous for players.  Therefore bags should be left outside the hall or preferably not brought along at all.   Do not bring along valuables - if you don't need it, don't bring it.  No food or drink is allowed in the hall. Any teams found to be leaving rubbish behind may be suspended from the competition.

Player Code of Conduct

  • Play by the rules.
  • Never argue with an official. If you disagree, have your captain approach the official during a break or after the competition.
  • Control your temper. Verbal abuse of officials and sledging other players, deliberately distracting or provoking an opponent are not acceptable or permitted behaviors in any sport.
  • Be a good sport. Applaud all good plays whether they are made by your team or the opposition.  Remember this is a social sport competition and we are all here to have fun.
  • Treat all participants in your sport as you like to be treated. Do not bully or take unfair advantage of another competitor.
  • Cooperate with your captain, team-mates, umpires and opponents. Without them there would be no competition.
  • Participate for your own enjoyment and benefit.
  • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
  • Any physical altercations will not be tolerated with offending parties being immediately ejected from the match and banned from social sport.  Poor team behavior may result in the removal of that team from the competition.
