Monash University Central made a great start to the season with wins in two out of three divisions. Players turned heads when they stepped on court in the new Central uniform.

In the championship division, accurate goaling saw Monash Uni Central head to an early quarter-time lead 20-6. Pressure from circle defenders Lee and Georgie saw Boroondara Power kept to just 3 goals in the second quarter. There was plenty of speed through the middle from Lillian and Jess to assist goalers to a half-time score of 35-9.

Carmel (GA substitution) continued accurate shooting in third quarter with well placed feeds from sister Angela (C substitution).

Division 1 also had a great game, defeating Mountain Districts 62-37 while Division 2 lost to Geelong Flyers 29-48.

Coaches announced the 2008 team leaders last week.
