Clayton Campus Latest NewsGive Winter Blues the Boot! - Introducing Monash Sport Bootcamp 2008Catering for all fitness levels Bootcamp is a fun, motivating and rewarding way of training. Designed to help you push to a level that you have not trained at before with a focus is on weight management, toning muscle and increasing cardiovascular fitness. All Bootcamp sessions are conducted by qualified Personal Trainers who will help guide, motivate and monitor each participant’s progress throughout the six weeks. Bootcamp is a great way to get fit, meet new people and work as part of a team. Take up the challenge and give winter blues the Boot! New Semester 2 Group Fitness TimetableWith the colder weather setting in, now has never been a better time to 'Shake Off the Winter Coat'! The new semester 2 Group Fitness timetable launches Monday 14 July with 56 classes to keep you fit through winter. Try all the Group Fitness classes for free from Monday 21 July to Sunday 27 July. Fitness Assessments and Programs services available to membersIn an attempt to increase the level of service offered to members the fitness centre is now conducting free fitness assessments and programs to all DD and 12 month members. The assessment process encompasses a 1 hour 1:1 session with a trainer where your fitness will be assessed, your goals established and an exercise program for you to follow developed. For further information on this service please speak to your friendly customer service or gym staff. Open hour’s changesThere will be no more excuses to miss that early morning work out with the amendment of the opening hours at the Fitness Centre. From Monday 2 June the opening time has changed from 6:30am to 6am.Survey and Focus GroupsTo measure the effectiveness of our programs, service provided by our staff and the facilities we offer, we are conducting our annual survey throughout July. The survey is available at the Fitness Centre or online and the information gathered will be used to improve our performance. Following the analysis of the survey we will be setting up focus groups to get specific information on the identified areas that do not meet customer expectation. If you wish to be involved in either of these processes please speak to a staff member. Monash Sport Comes to BerwickIn conjunction with the Clayton Campus Monash Sport is proud to announce the opening of our newest facility at Berwick. This facility has been developed to provide students and staff at the Berwick campus with access to fitness facilities. There is no cost to students or staff and we are hoping to expand the presence of sport and its programs to continually offer fantastic facilities, services and value to the student/staff experience. Mission PossibleOn behalf of all staff at the fitness centre I would like to congratulate all participants in the Mission Possible promotion conducted in May. In total we had 650 people register for the promotion with 286 completing the 15 visit challenge. Special congratulations to the following people who were drawn out as winners of the competition:
